Welsh Federation of Coarse Anglers
Policy Guidelines for Recruitment to Executive Committee and Equal Opportunities for members affiliated to the WFCA.
The executive committee for and on behalf of the Welsh Federation of Coarse Anglers are hereby responsible for the introduction of policy and guidelines and are hereby responsible for the implementation of any such policy agreed by the executive committee. It is hereby agreed that at the executive meeting held on the 11th April 2002 at the Pencerig Gardens Hotel, Llandrindod Wells the WFCA implement a policy promoting equal opportunities and guidelines for recruitment of officials/staff/officers/ or other as is deemed necessary.
1. Affiliated members being individual or affiliated through a paid up member club is entitled to apply for any position or post advertised by the executive committee.
2. Any applicant be it he/she/they or otherwise must submit in writing to the Executive Secretary his/her/their intentions/interest etc.
3. On receipt of such applications the Executive Secretary shall produce any such applications to the Executive Committee whom shall appoint the candidate to any vacant post who they consider is the most suitable person or persons for any such vacant positions regardless of age, sex or race.
4. The Executive Committee shall ensure that every person applying for any vacant positions are treated fairly and shall encourage applications from ethnic minorities and women who can contribute towards the development of angling and that of the WFCA.
5. No person shall be excluded from applying for any position because of his/her/their age/gender/or race.
6. Every affiliated individual or affiliated member club shall abide by any such policy as introduced by the Executive Committee and hereby expect that all clubs operate within the same policy as agreed for the WFCA by the Executive Committee.
7. The policy in relation to equal opportunities shall be reviewed every twelve months taking into account any legal or other issues that may be relevant for sport and the WFCA in general. In addition when employing staff or others on a full time or part time basis the WFCA Executive shall also take into account any requirements in relation to equal opportunities and employment law.
8. The executive Secretary shall ensure that the equal opportunities policy is implemented and shall be responsible for informing the Executive Committee of any update requirements or of any breach of policy.
